Dismantling of Tetra Pak Filling Lines in a Dairy near Warburg

WEKA Industrial Services has done the dismantling of Tetra Pak filling lines for a customer from China. A total of 6 complete filling lines were dismantled, brought out of a factory, packed and loaded into containers.

Project brief

A customer from China ordered us to dismantle aseptic milk filling lines. Specifically, these were 6 complete filling lines of the manufacturer Tetra Pak of type A3 Flex, including the complete downstream equipment. The system had to be cleaned by our dismantling team and then professionally dismantled, packaged and loaded into a total of 16 containers.

Equipment that had to be dismantled

The dismantling of the 6 Tetra Pak A3 Flex systems was a complex and extensive project, which required precise knowledge of the construction of the machine in order to ensure proper dismantling. Due to the extensive experience of the WEKA dismantling team with Tetra Pak filling systems, a quick and professional dismantling could be carried out. The following components had to be treated by our dismantling team.

  • 6x Tetra Pak A3 Flex 1000 ml Slim filling lines
  • 6x complete conveyor belt systems including elevators
  • 6x Tetra Helix product accumulators
  • 6x Trecap screw cap applicators
  • 6x Tetra Pak TCBP70 carton packers

Machines used for dismantling

The following equipment was required to dismantle the Tetra Pak filling lines:

  • Forklift (diesel) with a load capacity of up to 15 t
  • Forklift (gas) with a load capacity of up to 2.5 t
  • various hand pallet trucks
  • Heavy duty casters
  • Chainsaws and nail gun for building customized pallets

Manpower and duration

On average, 5 of our dismantling specialists were permanently employed in this project. The project took 16 days from the start of cleaning the systems to the final loading of all systems.
